My acting bio

My interest in acting began in 1984 when I joined a group and became a historical re-enactor. During the time I was a "Gunfighter" I learned a lot about performing in front of live audiences. I studied everything I could get my hands on relating to the "Wild West."  My attention was drawn to old west gambling specifically the game of Faro otherwise known as "Bucking the Tiger." My concentration and willingness to learn the game resulted in my becoming an old west gambling expert.

I am constantly researching the old west and have gained extensive knowledge in Old West history. I was also interviewed on the History Channel as an expert on Wild West Shootouts.

In 1993 a friend of mine who knew about my expertise called and asked if I would be willing to audition as a Faro expert to work on the movie "Wyatt Earp." I auditioned and was hired to be the "Gambling Tech ." During the course of working on the set I was cast by the Director; Lawrence Kasdan to be in a Faro scene as a case keeper with Kevin Costner. This was my first time on film as an actor.

As you can see what started as a hobby eventually worked to my advantage. It didn't take long for word to get out that I was an old west gambling expert. What followed was my being hired on two other films "Wild Bill", and "Last Man Standing". These three jobs not only gave me experience as an advisor but also broke me into the inner workings of being on the movie set and seeing professional Actors at work. I was asked to work on two other films but had already been hired to work on these films. I was once again cast as a gambler playing poker with Wild Bill Hickok (Jeff Bridges),but unfortunately the scene ended up on the cutting room floor....just my luck. I was then sought out by the television industry to work as an advisor on HBO "Deadwood", The History Channel "Wild West Tech and Shootouts", and The Discovery Channel "Unsolved History." It was also during that time that I began working as a background Artist and begin my acting career. I eventually auditioned for a national commercial and was cast as a principal, this led to my elegibility (Taft Hartly) to join the Screen Actors Guild. I of course used my commercial session pay to join SAG. I am now a trained Actor with a resume and an Agent working in feature films, television and commercials.
